Hello everybody! This week I was really disappointed after a conversation I had with one of my friends who is a business student. He told me that graphic design was not important and that it was not a career but a hobby.
You see the hands of designer in almost every object you buy. Everywhere you go there are posters and different advertisement stuff.
Unfortunately my friend it is not the only person who thinks this way. There are a lot of people that take as none important graphic designers. They prefer doing designer work themself instead of spending money on a real designer. This is one of the reasons that we are surrounded by really bad work.
I have been assignt a really cool project and I wanted to share it with you. I have to make design a drink book and I decided to make my a “Potions” drink book.
I have based my potions on the Harry Potter series. Above are two of the poitions I have photographed so far. The green one is the “Wideye Potion” which prevented the drinker from falling asleep and could also be used to awaken someone from drugging or concussion. The purple/pink potion is “Amortentia” is the most powerful Love Potion in existence.
I found this video wile searching for a way to escape my stressful pile of work. I decided to share it with you because I found it extremely amusing. We use Google to search for the most random things. On the other hand it is our number one tool for our work and life. I have come to realize how much I depend on Google. I use it to get inspiration, to search up my TV shows, to do my research and to answer the questions of my everyday life.
Do you guys remember when you use to get sick as a kid and you were allowed to stay home, having meals in bed, getting your homework from a friends and watching TV. Don’t you miss those days? Now we have to get up no matter what! We have homework due and we must finish it. Whenever I get really sick I miss the old days when I could stay home spoiled by mom instead of getting up to go to college or work. Responsibility is the worse…
Hey guys! Today we had another in class assignment. We had to draw an illustration based on a very interesting story.
Laura Buxton released a helium filled balloon during celebrations for her grandparents’ gold wedding anniversary in Blurton, Staffordshire, in June 2001. Attached to the balloon was her name and address and a note asking the finder to write back. Ten days later she received a reply. The balloon had been found by another Laura Buxton in the garden hedge of her home in Pewsey, Wiltshire, 140 miles away. Both Lauras were ages 10 and both had three year old black Labradors, a guinea pig, and a rabbit.
This is the illustration I did for the story and here are the links where you can hear the story and read all about it.
Lately I’ve been having a very ridiculous problem and I was wandering if you guys go through the same thing. When I am at school I cant for school to be over so I can sleep and be “free” to do what ever I want. But when school ends I cant wait to go back to school to have something to do! To be able to get out of the house and make art. I have been dreading the end of school. It is approaching way to fast! I feel like Harry Potter because he also hates his holidays. I get ditched by some people and I am stuck in the house all day cleaning and doing boring stuff. I hope this summer is different and I can spend it learning and creating!
Hey guys! I have been working on a project for the past few days and I finally finished it. I would like to share it with you. This is an infograph of the fetal growth and it hopefully answers all the question that a woman has. Enjoy!
Lately, I’ve been noticing that my level of creativity has been going down. This puts me in a lot of fear due to the fact that my everyday life tends to depend on my creativeness.
Last week, one of my professors at school taught us how to meditate. The meditation was intended to clear our minds from the many distractions and frustrations we have to deal with throughout our every lives, whether at school or at home. Surprisingly enough, it helped me a lot!
Since then, I have been taking time off my work and spending that time on relaxing through meditation. It is best to meditate on a regular basis rather than at times like when you are on a breaking point.
I hope this message can be of aid to anyone that has been going through such times in their everyday lives.
Today I stumbled on this beautiful video. What I loved the most about it is how the illustrator was able to create the different moods through out the video. The illustrator gave each character specific expressions to create the different atmospheres and moods. This way he didn’t need the character to speak. I really enjoyed this videos so I wanted to share it with you.
